...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 AM EDT THIS
MORNING FOR SOUTHWESTERN JEFFERSON, NORTHWESTERN TAYLOR AND EAST
CENTRAL WAKULLA COUNTIES...

At 325 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain gradually exiting the warned area. However, radar estimates
that between 5 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. Thus, the flash
flood warning will remain in effect due to the potential for runoff.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Perry, St. Marks, Crawfordville, Econfina, Scanlon, Cabbage Grove,
  Goose Pasture, Hells Half Acre, Iddo, Eridu, Hampton Springs,
  Secotan, Lake Bird, Boyd, Shady Grove, Plum Orchard, Perry-Foley
  Airport, Newport, Bucell Junction and Port Leon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
